Eduardo Vides
Dr. Eduardo Vides is a seasoned public health physician with over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, research, and strategy. As a project and research lead for prominent healthcare organizations, he is dedicated to addressing the unique priorities and needs of diverse populations and communities.
For the past 15 years, Dr. Vides has specialized in Indigenous health policy and research, working closely with Indigenous populations across the Americas. His expertise spans health strategy, performance measurement, policy analysis, and research. His extensive experience includes collaborations with public healthcare systems, not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous governments, and communities.
Dr. Vides actively contributes to various advisory boards, steering committees, and planning networks. His global health acumen is evident in his leadership in developing knowledge exchange frameworks for international organizations through multi-sectoral analysis. He also heads an Inter-Sectoral Action think tank, driving innovation in healthcare aligned with the international Sustainable Development Agenda. This initiative addresses challenges in virtual care, advanced analytics, medical technologies, new treatments, healthcare reform, regulatory changes, quality assurance, and the impacts of climate change on health and humanitarian efforts.
Dr. Vides employs tools such as Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Health in All Policies (HiAP) to evaluate population health through environmental and social determinants. He is a published author and contributor to numerous academic works in his field.
Dr. Vides earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. He holds a Master of Public Health specializing in Environmental Health from the University of London (UK), a Master of Health Administration from Javeriana University (Colombia), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Audit and Quality Assurance from EAN University (Colombia).
